EDINBURG The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Department of Intercollegiate Athletics is saddened to learn that Lupe Garcia, a 2009 Hall of Honor inductee who worked at legacy institution Pan American for 37 years, including 35 years as the bus driver and equipment manager for athletics, passed away on Thursday at the age of 85.
